It was pushing 80 this morning, so I decided to hit the treadmills at work again since I had mild success the other day.  It worked pretty well, as I did 8 miles in ~58 min with the last 2 averaging close to 6:30.  Much easier than it would've been outside today.  Good news is that it looks like it will be cooler next week (finally) so the TM will no longer be necessary.

While there is much to be said about training in the heat, it is also good to get out of it, get good leg turnover, and run at speed, and the treadmill definitely does the trick, not to mention it is rather unforgiving and won't let you slack. Fall shoul be here soon...

In that case I'm claiming 85 for Houston, since I forgot to check for myself this morning.

I guess I'll have to start complaining about it being too cold soon. :-(

Great pace on the 'mill Joe! I'm sure fall will be over in a couple weeks and you'll be back inside running again. Don't get too used to running outside. :(

Good luck with the cooler temps.
