67F.  I broke out the Type A shoes today - haven't used them in awhile because they seemed to hurt my achilles awhile back.  I'm guessing they won't do it now since I've been running in the Kinvaras, which have an even lower heel.  We'll see, they feel fine now.

7:31 AP today, kinda quick for the GA run I had in mind, but I was feeling good after my day off.  Well, my legs were feeling good...I had to defend against a turd the whole run so it was miserable in that respect.  Kept it short for a Sunday run -- just 11 miles -- as I start the Pfitz schedule tomorrow and want to be somewhat fresh at the beginning.

Nice run - good luck with the plan -though I would say you are training just as hard now if not harder than what Pfitz requires, so you will do just fine.

There's a guy in my running group in Fort Worth that is on week 6 of Pfitz plan. He's aiming for sub-2:50 marathon...which is pretty amazing because his PR is like 3:04. However, he's been training really hard this summer and winning 5K's every week so he thinks it's realistic. This guy, Greg, blogs about Pfitz plan while he tries it. He has been following it to a T. Here's his blog:

Good luck with that plan, it will be interesting to see the results.

DH - I settled on the 18/85, so I think it will eventually get harder, just not right now.

TL - pretty impressive improvement for that guy. Maybe I need a shirt with my name on it too!

Thanks Flat
