73F, 93%.  7:50s, I think.  Running is really a chore right now.  It's just not fun, especially with the hectic traffic around here.  Good news is I probably only have 3 more mornings here.  When I get home, I need to make some kind of build-up schedule and stick to it.  I always do better when I pre-plan everything.

I'm like you, I need a schedule to run by. Just running seems to be ...we'll...just running. :-)

I plan nothing. I expect even less. That way, I’m never disappointed. Minor accomplishments are huge to me. Hey look!, I remembered to wear pants today! Sweet!

Part of it may be that you are off your routine of other life things. I'm back into my semester and running feels like eating. Of course I have a plan and races and so on, but it has definitely become more automatic and integrated into my day.

Tom's comment reminded me of Homer Simpson's line on trying: http://tinyurl.com/8x5mro6

IJR - yeah, definitely need to plan ahead.

Tom - good point. Set the bar low and you'll never fail!

Jason - hah, yes, that was a good episode - lessons that stand the test of time. I'm hoping to get into a routine soon, though I will be starting a new job in a couple weeks (still in San Antonio).

Quit being so down on yourself! You're still fastjoe. It'll come easier once life settles down.

Why didn't you find a job in Utah? You would have so many running partners immediately!

From SlowJoe on Thu, Aug 29, 2013 at 10:17:31 from 24.32.57.229

Tracy - here's hoping!

Andrea - I know, I'd love to run with y'all one day!
