80F, 98% humidity.  8:20 AP.  I wanted to run to the LSU campus but our hotel was on the wrong side of I-10 so I drove to the other side and looked for a place to park.  Settled on the Jimmy Swaggart Bible College, which had an empty parking lot (insert joke here).  I should've scouted this route ahead of time because I spent a lot of time clomping through high, wet grass.  There were very few sidewalks until I got to the campus, and I was running during rush hour.  I did one loop around University Lake and headed back.  The 2-3 mile loop around the lake was the only nice part of the run.  More clomping through grass, etc on the way back.  The heat index was in the 90s by the time I finished thanks to the ridiculous humidity.  Kind of a miserable day, but it's done.

Seriously! You are the man! I can't believe you ran 13+ in that heat and humidity! I always think of your 22 miler when I am out running and I think I am going to die of the heat and humidity! We are having 75% here and 80s and I have been a running sponge! ha!

LSU? Louisiana? What are you there for?

Wow...Joe, I can't keep up with you. It's amazing how far you've come since you started running. Did you wear your bathing suit and goggles on your run?

HOLY HOT HUMIDITY....more H words. Way to tough it out, I just do not think I could take it. AND you have the speed as well. IMPRESSIVE, but you always are. ;o)

Good run, sometimes you win on the road and sometimes the good route just never shows up. Like you say, it's done and in the books.

Way to suffer on. I like to come to your blog now and see your heat feats.

S8 - thanks - we were in Baton Rouge visiting family...humidity was terrible!

IJR - Might as well have been swimming, the shorts, socks and shoes were drenched.

Kelli - too kind...I didn't feel so tough today, as I totally skipped my run, but the sleep was great

Flat - The town seemed to be the land-of-no-sidewalks-or-shoulders

April - I wilt pretty bad, but even worse in the humidity I think
