Low wind...that's unheard of in Abilene! Hopefully the low wind was blowing the stink away from you as you ran to the dump :-) It's funny, every time I post I look at your run and realize you've typically run a mile or so further and a minute or so faster than me...but don't look back, I'm after you! ;-}

Good run again..!

Prisons, dumps and sewage treatment plants. You need some new routes.

Another nice run under your belt.

Do you live in the armpit of Texas?

From SlowJoe on Mon, Jul 04, 2011 at 12:52:31 from 75.109.104.60

IJR - yeah the wind has really died down, but thanksfully there was enough prevailing wind to keep the landfill smell to the north of my route.

DG - not much scenery around here unfortunately...

Burt - one of the armpits, yes

Running to the dump must have been a real treat! haha! Do you have a million seagulls flying around the dump like we do here? If so, I am sure it was quite a workout dodging all of the bird turds!

To the dump huh. Glad you have nice scenic routes for your runs.

S8 - the birds save their turds for my truck...I'm starting to forget what its original color was.

April - yep, one of our many hidden gems. I actually thought I was going on a new route, but then it started to look familiar and I realized I'd driven down the road before when I saw the entrance to the dump.
