72F, S 17-27 mph.  8:16 AP.  About the same pace as Sunday but it felt really easy today since I got an earlier start and was never really in direct sun.

In other running-related news, I am signed up for Houston in January next year.  They opened some early registration spots (available to sub 4-hr marathoners) so Danielle grabbed one for me and now I guess we wait for them to verify the time.  Feels good, a lot better than going through the lotto!  Now I can plan out the Fall season a little better, race-wise.

Congratulations! I hadn't heard about that option but it makes a lot of sense.

That's pretty cool!

Sounds like it's heating up there! Don't you wish the wind would die down?

From SlowJoe on Tue, May 10, 2011 at 15:04:05 from 131.59.200.80

Thanks Flat, doesn't seem like they advertise it too much, except by email.

Tracy - yeah, it was a bit annoying today but I would much rather have some wind than no wind when it gets hot

Sweet! Let's set a goal for you to break 3:05 in Houston 2012.

Congrats! Feels good to have elite status, yes? :-)

Joe, plenty of time to squeeze another marathon in before Houston, right? :-)

From I Just Run on Wed, May 11, 2011 at 10:41:24 from 67.79.11.242

I'm thinking you'll be signing up for with the sub 3-Hr runners soon...!

From SlowJoe on Wed, May 11, 2011 at 14:23:28 from 131.59.200.80

Burt - great idea.

BnS - Yes, yes, I am very elite indeed. Actually I did feel a little special, even if the standard is almost an hour slower than Boston.

DH - I think it would be great, but I would want to do it early in the fall and don't really want to travel to a race with cooler weather. So Houston might end up being the next.

IJR - in my dreams!

I came up with it on my own.

That's cool!!! It pays to be a fast Joe
