What's the worst forecast so far?

From Burt on Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 09:19:45 from 184.101.194.1

and what's your bib number?

From Jason D on Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 10:09:29 from 24.1.80.94

It's pretty good. Not ideal. To be ideal, I would like a 40 MPH tailwind for the second half that affects only me :-)

I've never really run a marathon above 40 degrees to start (usually lower 30s). Think my first one may have just got over 50 toward the end. As I told Josh, I would gladly run in snow than in the 2012 heat!

From SlowJoe on Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 10:18:09 from 168.215.171.129

Jake - one of the local stations has a high of 65 that day (no hourly detail). That's the outlier though.

Burt - 3926

Jason - I agree with you there, I've run some hot ones and they all sucked. Unfortunately for you, since I'll be there, we'll probably have crap weather. You're welcome.

From Jake K on Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 10:18:20 from 199.190.170.22

High 40s is way better than low 30s. The body doesn't have to waste energy staying warm, but it isn't warm enough to cause any slowdown. I think if you look at most of the fastest marathons ever run, 50 degrees would be about the average temperature.

From I Just Run on Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 10:23:02 from 67.79.11.242

I'm liking the weather forecast.

Jason - I'm feeling lucky so I'll be there to offset Joe's negativity. :-)

Yes! I will receive up to 4 messages per bib!

IJR - think about the races we've both run... SA rock and roll this fall. OKC in 2012. See any common threads? Sorry, I'm cursed. Muahahaha

Burt - To supplement that, I'll text you every mile to give you my thoughts about how it's going.

From Burt on Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 11:18:50 from 184.101.194.1

Would you? That would be fantastic. Just fantastic.

From Jason D on Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 16:10:50 from 24.1.80.94

I've never had bad weather. Less than ideal, but never terrible. So, I think we are good to go, IJR.

Jake: That makes sense to me. It is generally too cold to feel great when the temps are in the low 30s but I worry about getting too hot. I've run a lot of cold tempos (3-15 degrees), so I am hoping the weather gives me a nice gift.
