38F, NNE 17 mph, rain held off until the last couple miles.  7:56 AP.  I was going to do some strides, but the achilles popped up about halfway through the run (I'm quite sure it's an achilles issue now).  It's just never smooth sailing when you train for a marathon.  Again, I think it'll be fine; I'd be a lot more worried if I had a bunch of difficult training ahead, but I'm tapering.  Last workout is Friday, I'll have to kinda play it by ear.

It seems odd that the achilles is flaring up here at the end of all your hard work. Is there any stretches you can do to help it?

BTW...when I run in 17 mph wind I always have to make some comment about how hard it was :-(

Take care of that pain. You're wise to play it by ear. Your great training will carry you through.

Hope it settles down Joe, I would not sweat it if you don't get the last workout in .... Just make sure that thing is 100% in 12 days! You are going to rock it like a rocket!

What JG said. Even if you have to settle for a "dress rehearsal" sometime next week. That and some strides will be better than flaring something up.

Agree with all above. The hay is already in the barn, pitching the last workout is okay.
