Getting injured opens your eyes to stuff.  I've talked about running being a bandaid and now that the bandaid has fallen off, I'm realizing there's a bloody mess underneath.

Never been a big believer in "things happen for a reason" but the timing of this injury coinciding with some other things in my life is almost unbelievable.  Some of me has been trying to piece this together and figure out why, and poor me, but that's useless.  The reality is I have some really hard work ahead, and this foot thing is going to make me do some work that's been needed for years.

Best to you, Joe. Oh, I found this poking around your old entries:

Hard work is just that...hard. You'll come out stronger. Hoping for the best Joe.

Hopefully you get stuff figured out. Looking forward to you getting things healed up.

I hear you loud and clear. You're clearly tough and you'll do whatever it takes to figure it out. Let me know if for some odd reason I coul help at all. I like helping other people, especially the weird ones like me (runners).

Thanks all. Jason, nice find!

Appreciate the opportunity to vent. I really suck at life lately...have known that for awhile. How I ever got this far (loving family, damn good paycheck, semi-obedient dog, etc) will always be a mystery to me. I definitely don't deserve any of it.

TMI, I know. Thanks for checking in guys.

Objects in mirror are closer than they appear...maybe your family, employers and dog are onto something... ;)
