77F, 92%.  8:00 AP.  8 minute miles = moderate pace these days.

I ran these all in the neighborhood.  I think I actually liked it better than dealing with Potranco Rd.  I thought I might have found some secret trails behind the neighborhood on satellite (yet to be developed property), but you don't get too far before hitting the barbed wire.  Oh well.

Plan is to go (drive) to the track on Thursday or Friday.  Just for some 200s, and really to see if it's even open.  If it's not, I'm going to find a way in anyway.

What's wrong with running 8's, man?

Can I get in trouble, hypothetically, if I have a friend who has expressed an interest in breaking into a place, and then I do nothing to stop or report it? This has nothing to do with your post, I’m just curious.

Generally speaking, hopping a fence onto a track early in the morning goes unnoticed and does no harm. In my area, the way I see it, I pay taxes and support local schools and I am not bothering anybody using the track.

Let me know if you need my bolt cutters!

Tom - I hope nothing is wrong with 8's, because that is one of my faster runs. I would definitely notify the police, maybe the FBI, of your friend's criminal intent.

April - amen sister!

IJR - will do.

Dedication! Good to see you're not going to let a measly fence get between you and being fit!

In 92% humidity, 8 min miles deserve some sort of award. Nice work!
