70F, wind S 22 mph.  Mini heat wave this weekend; the high today is 99!

8:17 AP felt tough again, really sluggish.  I can still feel a little tugging in the achilles area, but I think it's almost healed.  So my new plan is to do a really short, slow run tomorrow to hopefully finish the healing, and go long on Monday since I'll be on local leave.  My secret reason for doing the long run on Monday is that it's going to be 20+ degrees cooler.

Smart thinking joe. You would have loved it this morning in Idaho.... 35 degrees and no wind. Have a grand weekend!

That is most excellent planning for a long run! I would have loved Idaho for runnning too!

Gee, it didn't notice that temperature drop for Monday. (I lie.)

Rye - sounds perfect, clearly I need a summer home in Idaho.

April - if you're not cheating you're not trying.

DH - yeah we filled up the kids' pool. didn't think we'd ever get it out this early

IJR - the south wind seems to actually bring the heat!

Flat - I'm a close watcher of the forecast these days.
