57F, SSE 12 mph.  6:51 AP.  I took today as my last opportunity to get faster before OKC.  Goal was 6 easy, followed by 4 @ HMP.

6 easy - 7:09 AP (7:27, 7:18, 7:08, 7:05, 7:02, 6:51)  Ok, so not exactly "easy."

4 @ HMP - 6:25 AP (6:25, 6:27, 6:24, 6:23)

I'm not going to get into the habit of running warmup miles that fast.  I really just wanted to get moving and have the lactate flowing right away on the tempo portion, which I think happened.  Anyway, the workout was just what I wanted and I even ended up averaging my goal MP for the run as a whole.

First look at OKC on the 10-day forecast shows a low of 60, which probably means a finish near 70.  Not ideal but I wouldn't let it affect my time goal if the forecast holds up there.  I can't really complain too much after seeing what happened in Boston, but I will still be hoping for cooler!

Ha, sounds like what Russ and I were doing on the easy miles before a good tempo. Nice run. Yes, I am really hoping you will see some nice cool temps.

Yeah...I thought I had caught you when I read the first comment "6 easy" but then you corrected yourself :-)

I'm predicting 55 degrees at the start. I think I can do a better job at predicting the weather than the weatherman...without any scientific data :-)

Steam is right... FAST JOE is in order... or at least 'Not so SlowJoe' - Forecasts are like my fortune cookies. It could snow in OKC
