5:15am, 73F.  Plan was for 4 warmup, 3 @ 7:20 (new tempo pace), 1 cooldown.

The 4 warmup miles were @ 8:33 avg.  I always see the exact same people on the first few miles around Lost Lake.  My nemesis, Jingle Keys, was giving me a run for my money today.  I can always hear him from about 50m away.  Anyway, the tempo portion was 7:18, 7:17, 7:17.  Then I cooled down with an 8:28.  I haven't done much stamina work lately so this kicked my butt today; I would not have wanted to do another mile like that.  Gotta get used to feeling the pain again!

I also wore my arch supports today.  No issues with them.  It was interesting though, the insert really felt like a big bubble under my right arch - the semi-injured foot (getting better and better by the way), but the left foot felt like the arch support wasn't even there most of the time.  So maybe I really need them.  Who knows.

I know that my left arch is significantly flatter than my right. You must have that same problem (except reversed, I guess).

That was a good workout today! Those fast miles were nice and even. Great job pushing through them!

Way to hit your tempo pace with such even splits! Glad the arch supports are working out.

Jingle Keys...... Nice workout Joe. So much for those easy runs till November, Great workout.

Good job today. By the way, I have alertly noticed that some people are starting to move in to your territory on this blog. In addition to SlowJoe'sGrl (I figure you can work that one out all by yourself), there is another new blogger named Terrapin, which I think means slower than slow. If you need a lawyer to send a letter or something, just let me know. I just did a search (no charge) and am happy to report that nobody as yet has tried to blog as Slug.

Tracy, yeah it looks like that might be a possibility; good to know I'm not alone in fighting this horrible, awful, one-sided-semi-flatfootedness syndrome.

Thanks April, kind of coincidental they ended up like that but I'll take it!

Rye, thanks - I don't know how many times I've committed to running only easy runs for awhile only to quickly change my mind.

Flat, I know. Can't I sue these people for....something? Thanks for the pro-bono search, I owe ya one. Let me know if you need anything blown up.

What do you think Jingle Keys calls you?

From SlowJoe'sGrl on Fri, Oct 22, 2010 at 17:46:35 from 184.79.24.255

You absolutely do not have flat feet on either side. Just sayin'

From SlowJoe on Fri, Oct 22, 2010 at 18:03:35 from 214.13.130.104

Jason - good question...Stick Legs, Shuffle Feet, Snot Nose Sweaty Face. All of these are possibilities.

SJG - maybe the arch is falling...you haven't seen my feet in almost 4 months. I'll let you take a good long, long look on the webcam if you're nice.
