THANKS SO MUCH TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR COMMENTS AND SUPPORT!

It was especially fun to read my friends & family members' posts who are not on the blog- believe me, I'm trying to convert everyone I can to "the blog"!

What an amazing weekend.  Back to reality now.  I'm sitting here wearing my marathon shirt, like everyone else I'm sure.  Yesterday it was so nice to chill in my snuggly socks and Lybi gave me and watch conference.  Isn't it perfect that conference is the day after the marathon so you don't have to get up and go anywhere! I do feel bad about missing Saturday's sessions though... have to wait for the Ensign...

Anyway- walked 2 miles Sunday afternoon and again 2 miles today- walked Arielle to school with my hyper puppy pulling on a leash- ouch- my muscles didn't like that today.  When I woke up Sunday my achilles were SO tight! I had to walk straight legged to the kitchen, grab the ice packs and ibuprofen- then right to the computer to read race reports and prop my heels on ice.  Much better after a little ice.  I tried to not sit still in one place too long yesterday.  This morning my achilles were TIGHT again, but loosened up quicker than yesterday and I never took any more ibuprofen after the intial 800 mg yesterday morning.  Sorry for all the boring details- just want to be able to remember this in case I'm crazy enough to run another marathon!

I'm already looking for 5k and 10ks! There's a 5k Oct. 27th and a 10K the beginning of Nov.  I think I'll do one! Better make sure I can run again first though- Ha!

Tomorrow I'm getting a massage- my sweet hubby gave me a gift cert for one.  Wed. I may attempt a couple slow miles.

The recovery process doesn't sound too bad. Maybe I'll try a marathon in the spring. Maybe.

Enjoy your massage.

Woohoo to massages and thoughtful husbands!!! Hope it's a great one 'cuz you deserve it.

To answer your question, I AM looking at a 5K; but I'm a little worried that I'm not ready for it. It's Oct 20th, but I've never even run 3 miles during any workout. So, I'm hoping to come in second from last!! lol
