Met Sara and did a 4 mile neighborhood route.  This was her longest run ever and she did great- esp. listening to me gab the whole time- that's the hardest part of the run- HA! We did end up walking probably about 1/2 mi so the 4.4 posted about includes the total distance inc. walking.  I ran a faster (not quite sprint, but at least tempo)  .2 after I dropped her off at her house- just for funsies.  Felt good, the sore throat hasn't gotten any worse.  I think the day of rest yesterday did me good.  I do need new shoes though, gotta visit Steve at the running store this week.

Oh and I'm considering running the Snow Canyon race on Nov. 17th, just haven't decided if I want to run the 5k or 1/2.  Not sure I'm 1/2 ready right now, but it looks like a fun- mostly downhill course.  Any of you bloggers running it?

Good job helping out a friend today! I'm glad you aren't feeling any worse. I haven't signed up yet, but I think I'm going to do the Snow Canyon 5K. Clyde is thinking about doing the half, but he says there is a nasty portion of uphill in there. I will see you tomorrow morning at the track!

About Moab. Registration begins Nov. 1st, but it doesn't close for awhile, and it is not first come first serve. Michelle is in Hawaii, but when she comes back, she is going to set up the group, then we can all register under it. At least, that is my understanding.

And hey,I have it on VERY good authority that slower running partners REALLY appreciate having a talkative person on the run. That is me and Christine every morning.

Hey Christi! I am glad you are feeling better. Good luck on figuring out which race to run. (I am partial to the half. I feel like it doesn't hurt as much.) Speaking of races, I am having a hard time finding races that are less than 30 miles away and not on Sunday. I haven't checked the local running store. They usually have more information than I can get from the internet.
