Love this race for sure! I was great averaging 8:22 pace for the first five miles then both i-t bands were holy moly tight and hurting. Running 7 miles in pain is not cool, but I would stop and stretch out my legs every mile then would be able to run again until the pain would pull so tight that I would need to stop and stretch again - fun times! So suprised that my time was as good as it was for all that stopping and stretching!! WOW - lesson learned....I tighten up when I don't stay running consistently
