Ran in new shoes today thinking the pain I felt on the top of my foot yesterday (for the last half mile) was due to needing new shoes. It is my right foot and I was able to run about 1.35 on it this morning until the sharp pain on the top of my foot came back. It felt as though I shouldn't step down to hard or I would break something. Sounds like possible small stress fracture??? I walked back, and felt it the entire way home. After sitting for a cup of coffee on the deck, I was able to walk without feeling it at all. I will take some rest time, hoping to heal whatever is going on. I am trying hard to listen to my body in efforts of being a life long runner :)
