My first 'real' test on my knee since the marathon. I climbed Big Baldy peak near Timpanogos. It is just under 9,000 feet, but looks like a small foothill next to Timp. Did over 3k elevation gain in 3.5 miles, so it was a great test. I wore my brace and used trekking poles, and on the ascent my knee felt fine, although it was a little tight and just a touch sore. The summit was COLD, but the views were fantastic. The downhill was definitely harder on my knee and I could feel a slight pain, although nothing serious. It was also a tad tight and stiff. I think the poles helped a lot. It felt really good to get out finally, and I think my knee is imporving every day. It is still not 100%, but I will just take it easy for at least another month.

3 easy miles on the TM. My calves are SORE! I'm going to get back into the mountains later in the week for sure. I am getting soft. At least my knee is feeling a lot better. It is not sore at all.

Nice and easy 3 on the TM. My calves are still sore, but my knee is improving, so I won't complain.

Hit the gym for a nice workout. Lifted for 40 minutes (chest, arms, lats and shoulders). No running today.

Golfed 18 at Thanksgiving Pt for work and had a great time. The weather was perfect. I did also manage to do 4 on the TM, and all body parts are feeling great. No complaints. This has been a really good week and I think I am getting closer to 100%.

Did 4 easy miles on the TM while watching college football. Nothing hurts. I'm still going to wait at least a week to do anything serious, although I will be climbing Mount Olympus this week.
