Went out at 6am and ran from home out to Tuacahn- 12 miles- I went up to see a few friends as they prepared for the 5k race. I then ran over to Gubler BallPark in Santa Clara for some softball with the single adult stake, cooked 120 burgers and tons of hotdogs. Now I was chilled to the bone and stiff, changed clothes and watched my son play rugby in the rain. Overall my pace was 8:40- The 12 to Tuacahn where mostly uphill and worked me over pretty good but I was actually getting faster after I reached the half way mark- For me this was massive mileage. This is the peak for my Boston training and now I will start tapering down to the race. The body feels great and I feel that I am as ready as I can be for a marathon, now I need the planets to be in perfect alignment, everone's fingers crossed etc. to go out and have a great race!
