Well I needed a good long run to boost me up. I started at the mid point of the SG Marathon. I held back most of the time with a few miles under 7:00 pace. I didn't want to undo the massage I had 2 days ago. I ended up running that half marathon in 1:40. Not too bad for taking it easy. I then headed off for home and decided to extend out to Sun River to meet up with my wife and her dad and siblings. They were walking from Sun River to our home. Then it was a nice leasure walk on the new trail with them and finished out the last 1/2 mile with a 7:00 pace to end it up. Overall I felt pretty good about  things the legs feel a lot better and I know they will improve with good stretching. I did get blisters on both big toes...running with new shoes...need to figure that one out. A beautiful cool morning in June, the misters even turned on every once and a while...great day in Zion.

Thanks Mike! It was a run that I needed. Maybe I can start getting back on track....need to for Bryce coming up. I would like to go sub 1:30 for a half either at Bryce or HobbleCreek...I wish I were younger like the rest of you guys....LOL this old body has been telling me to just have fun and enjoy the run, I will start doing that after I get through St. George marathon and get the BQ. After that is totally for enjoyment. I will let the competitive times go to you young guys! Great week for you and the mileage!

Scott, way to start pounding out those long runs again. Be smart.
