Missed Boston by 2 1/2 minutes!

PR of 3:38:31

Basically I was killing the Boston time untill I had an issue with cramping that started a bit at mile 15 but was able to run through it without any issues until mile 20. I had to start mixing in the walk to get through it. Mile 22 was a total walk and I gave up.... 1/3rd through mile 23 I was able to start jogging. The final 3.20 miles I was back at it running 7's. Finished strong but the couple miles of cramping took all the time I had banked.

After 19 miles I was on pace for a 3:25 and looking forward to the last part of the course. I lost 13 minutes in the next 4 miles. That was too much to make up......

Scott, keep your head up. You're still young in the sport. I couldn't believe it when you told me you had only been running for a year or so. I was sure you had your BQ but wasn't able to get around to watch the race until after you finished. Thanks for letting me tag along w/ you for a while. You really kept me on pace and working. You are a great runner. Like James said that BQ is inevitable.

Scott, was really nice talking to you on the phone after the race. You have a great attitude and your day is coming. Take some time and heal up, you will be back.

Dang Scott, SO close! But you have been doing even more amazing! You keep it up and that BQ will be yours as well as continued fitness, fun, and enjoyment.

Scott so sorry about missing the BQ. I know how hard you've been working all year. Hopefully you can stay positive and learn from this race. This little chuck of experience will go along ways next time you race. Keep on rocking it man and you'll be victorious... actually you already are see how far you've come.

wow sorry you missed out on Boston but hey thats a real good time considering cramping issues, and cramping hurts whole lot I know especially when trying run through it well done on toughing it out and getting through and a PR you have to be happy with that :-) I am sure that on the right day you will smash the BQ time
