Today was state. I ran a 1 mile warm up. In the race, I did pretty bad. I think I started out too fast at the beginning. I crashed when I was running around the pond the first time. I tried to just keep running, but it was really hard, especially with a hill right after i crashed. I wanted to stop so many times, but I wouldn't let myself. The second time around the pond was one of the times I really almost stopped, but then people told me there was only a little bit left. I thought that the race ended sooner than it did, so I kicked way too soon. I got to the highland track when I felt like I was gonna pass out. I had trouble staying conscious, so went really slow and probably looked like a fool. It was a really scary feeling. it was a really bad race. I got 23:14.2, a full minute behind my P. R. I was 124th overall, 115th scoring, and 6th from East. I'm just glad I got the experience so that I know what I need to work on.

I know that course well and ran it in HS. Don't let it get you down! Take it as a learning experience. I did pretty bad my Jr year and made it turn into a learning experience and finished 3rd my SR year. Go Sarah!

Oh well thanks! I hope I do better next year!
