Race: Practice meet @ East (1 Miles) 00:05:49, Place overall: 2
Total Distance
10.00

Today was the practice meet at East. I don't know why but I didn't think I was racing. But I did. I honestly wasn't at all prepared to race. My only preparation for it was thinking, "run fast." I did a mile warmup, then stretching and drills. Then 2 more miles warmup with the boys, and a mile of speed changes using half of the track. Then went over to the start line.

Bill told me to take it out fast at 75. My first lap was 74-75. My 800 was 2:38. Then I had a hard time moving after that, and when Abigail came up on me I wasn't prepared to fight. I let her go and didn't care about it. My last 800 must've been very slow. I'm mad at myself that I just let her go like I did, but it's a practice meet and that's why we practice. Any other day I feel like I would've done much better.

After doing the 1600, I cooled down a bit. Then warmed up for the 800. I got mad when a girl decided to get right in front of me and slow down. So at the 100 I passed her and took the lead, then kept my pace and just tried not to slow down. 2:37.

Then Bill told me I was doing the 800 in the medley. My split/time was 2:38, same as the 800 split in the 1600.

Then did the 4x400 relay. It felt fast. I don't know what it actually was.

Did a cool down with Tomy and Chris then added on to get to 10 for the day.
