Today was the quad meet at clearfield. We warmed up 1.5 figuring out the course. Then we changed into flats and went to the start.

The start was really confusing, it was the one place I didn't know where to go. We were following the arrows and path of flags, but then it just disappeared once we got to the parking lot, I had no idea where we were supposed to go, I only knew the basics. We slowed down a lot and started going the complete wrong direction until another girl corrected us and we saw the cone that was hidden. Then it happened again. But this one we corrected ourselves before we were too far off course. Anyway, I could tell this race was not going how I planned, it felt a lot faster than we should have been going. First mile was 6:03 (including the little mess up), then second 6:38, last .96 was 6:28, so pretty even last 2 miles, but slow. I really wish I could have done better, but then again I did feel like I was relaxing in the middle, I felt like I could have picked it up more last mile at least. It's just getting myself to kick. My kick was pretty weak, I could've pushed harder. Hopefully I'll be able to do everything right at Park City on friday. Kind of a sucky race.

Then for cool down I wasn't even thinking and did mile warmup, mile speed changes, mile cool down instead of just a mile speed changes and mile cool down. :O
