Running Accomplishments:

I ran the Top of Utah Marathon in 4:43 after having my third child the year before. 5 K in 24:19, 10 K in 53 minutes pregnant. Survived personal training from my lovable but slightly overbearing husband Sasha for more than 8 years!!

Short-Term Running Goals:

Break 23:45 in the 5k.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay thin and full of energy.

Not be an embarassment to my family full of world class athletes.

Personal:

Madly in love with Sasha. We have been married since 1996 and have been blessed with seven of the most adorable and talented children : Benjamin, Jennifer, Julia, and Joseph, Jacob, William and Stephen.

All of our children have run in at least one race, including Jacob and William who did it inside the womb. I enjoy various non-running activities such as: baking, sewing, playing organ, piano and flute, painting, and playing with our  vivacious children.

Good run. Mary went with me for most of it and got me going at a good pace. I am very grateful to have a partner that is a natural athlete and doesn't need to fight to go my pathetic little pace. Even my prego pace is hard for those completely out of shape.

I made myself a hot sling the other weeks and then discussed the pros and cons of different slings with my friends who are baby gear gormets ...they know they top brands and the ins and outs of all the latest and greatest. I'm not into that because Sasha isn't into me spending money. Although he will save up and buy quality items..it's just different than what they are into..don't know...

I'm also starting on a baptism dress for Julia. My last project with the remants of my wedding dress fabric. My sister did a superb job on making my wedding dress so many years ago. With the leftover fabric I've concocted two blessing outfits..one for a boy and one for a girl and will now finish off with a beautiful baptism dress. Too bad I probably won't be able to squeeze into my wedding dress on Julia's big day since I will probably have some postpardom pounds still on me. :)

You haven't blogged for a few days, so I'll have to say hi here. Thanks for dropping by to say hi last night. You look wonderful and I'm glad to see you have someone to run with. You're right, you keep up the pace, even pregnant. You remind me of my grandma with how clever you are using reminants of your wedding dress for your kids. That takes a lot of resourcefulness. But perhaps $40 for fabric when a $40 level is required could be a good negotiating point :)You are so amazing.

I go in spurts with the blogging. William has been a busy boy and I don't always have a lot of quiet time. It was so good to see you for a minute last night. I love being resourceful and it's kind of sentimental too...We'll see how it turns out. I have to tell you that out of all the people I've run with I really had good times with you and do miss that. I've had several different partners and know a goodie when I see one. :) :)
