1/2 mile warmup on track, then stretched. Easy recovery run today, 4 miler to Chuck-a-rama from PVHS and back. Very nice, ran with Eric Goold out and Lindsay Judd back.

Lifted a little: Bench - 3x10 @ 50 lbs and Squat - 3x10 @ 75 lbs

After, I went with some of the track team and played Ultimate Frisbee at Sandstone Elementary. That counts for a mile or so of running... we only lost by 1. ;) and we had a heckofabunch of fun.

Welcome to the blog! Is Eric Goold related to Danny Goold?

Thanks! My friends use it, so I decided to give blogging a go.

P.S. I have no idea. (I'll try to remember to ask him.)

Eating more is OK as long as it the right stuff. Natural foods taste in such a way that they trigger a feeling of satisfaction just at the right time when your body received the proper amount of nutrients. They also contain a proper balance of nutrients. Unnatural foods (aka junk food) have a built-it taste alteration and their taste does not reveal their true nutritional value. So the body gets tricked into accepting wrong amounts and wrong types of nutrients, which creates a stress on the body. For a while, a young body can cope with it. Exercise helps offset the negative effects to some extent. However, as you get older, the destructive effects of improper diet become more and more noticeable. I think it happens sooner for women than it does for men. I believe this is a big part of the reason we have age divisions 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, and 35-39. If we learned to eat right, we would not feel the need to have those age divisions - people would be running just as fast at 39 as they were in their 20s.
