Almost positive that's not how the LR is suppose to feel, we felt guilty for missing Saturdays run (Ryan more than me) so we decided to do a make up run this morning.  I wanted to run to work but he forgot to pack a bag so we ended up just meeting at Maverik and running our normal West Lehi run.  I pretty much knew when I woke up this morning that it would be a train wreck, my legs were still pretty hammered from my 800's yesterday.  Anyway, we got through it, both of us were pretty slow, maybe the slowest run Ryan and I have ever done averaged just under 8:00 pace.  I think I'm going to start my taper early,  like right.....Now!

20 miles before work on a tuesday after doing 800s yesterday? I'd call it a success even if it was at a 12 min pace. Nice work.

What time did you crazies start?

We started at 5:00, which surprised me, usually Ryan needs his beauty sleep.

This still counts as the 3 week out LR. That's the beauty of Boston being on a Monday. Couple extra days to either get in something you missed but wanted/needed... like you did... or cram in something unnecessary... what most people do :-)

My main problem was that I should have just shifted my entire schedule 2 days instead of doing speed work the day before. O'Well, at this point I don't think it really matters anymore, I just need to get to the start line now.

Yeah, hay = in barn.

You can't really change things too much more. The main thing now is getting to the line healthy. I think you can do that!!

20 miles the day after 800s is impressive! I ran some 800s today and plan on taking tomorrow nice and easy. You are more than prepared for Boston, and like Jake said, it is time to just get to the start line healthy.
