Good to see you logging some miles. How's the tendon doing?
From redrooster on Mon, Feb 01, 2010 at 17:28:52 from 129.123.3.31
hey Paul, I think I will come down and run your half marathon with my buddy Mark Ostler. are you going to run it? if so I will draft off you if it is windy like your report says it was last year.

I plan on running (isn't it it March), but need to get my tendon better. If I don't get healthy, you could still draft from me because of my weight gain I'll block more air, but you will not be getting the pace benefit you might hope for.

That was a good movie. After watching it I had to go research it to see how much was real and how much was Hollywood.

hmm.. I will have to check back on your blog and see where that tendon problem came in. sorry to hear that, hope it heals soon!

Nice job on the workouts! Be careful with that tendon ... especially if you are doing two-a-days! NO SETBACKS!!!!
As for Cinderella Man ... that is the movie that finally motivated me to get my food storage done. I could never watch it again ... it was tough!

NICE runs! Hope your Achilles continue to heal well and completely. It was the Archilles, wasn't it?
From RivertonPaul on Tue, Feb 02, 2010 at 11:15:06 from 67.42.27.114
Teena, thanks for the reminders that getting better is more important at this juncture.
Smooth, I thought it was my achilles and I had reported that on the blog, but Dr. T. said it was soleus tendonitis, which is the deep calf muscle so it is technically different.
From Rhett on Tue, Feb 02, 2010 at 11:47:24 from 74.32.221.171
What does Dr. T have you doing for this soleus tndonitis other than resting? Any PT or anything?
From RivertonPaul on Tue, Feb 02, 2010 at 11:50:48 from 67.42.27.114
Rhett,
Dr. T has me doing some exercises to help with a long-standing muscle imbalance. They address my left calf and right hip. Problem is, 20 plus year imbalance takes some time to correct. Also, I'm not supposed to train in my lightweight shoes.

Good luck with the tendonitis. I think I've fought this same thing your describing but for me it's the left hip and right calf. Seems like running in lighter shoes down hills is what aggravates it.
