Did several runs today the first was on an indoor track at the University of Minnesota. I did 4 miles there trying to focus on negative splits for the first 3 miles. my splits were 8:07, 7:37, and 7:13. The last mile was to try and calibrate my foot pod because according to the track measurements my run was slightly longer than the foot pod said.
The second run was outside I thought I should experience the cold since I may move here or will at most likely move somewhere colderin a couple of years and still want to run. It was really cold 19 degrees. I bundled up in hat, gloves, tights and longsleeve shirt. I still never really warmed up. It is weird to be sweating and still be freezing cold. Still the run felt pretty good considering the cold. the worst part of the run was the snow and ice and trying not to slip and fall. my average cadence was 178.
