Today I had a long slow "run" planned.  The arc trainer was still down, but I talked to the gym owner and he says it is fixed and will be back later today.  Yea!  I tried a differnt eliptical that I hadn't used before and I kind of liked it.  Anyways, I did 2 1/2 hours on that darn thing.  I think I am going to be sore tomorrow.

You must get up pretty early in the morning. Nice work out.

Kind of a bummer. My gym has like 20 arc trainers. Come on over and use one. :)

Burt, I got up at 4:15 and was at the gym and on the eliptical by 4:40.

Paul, your gym must be huge. I think we have about 20 TMs, but only 1 arc trainer and 10 elipticals of different varieties.

Rhett, its pretty much like this:

2.5 hours on an elliptical!!! WOW!!!!

Btw, we were learning about how the eye works in class last night ... couldn't help but think about you describing different problems to your patients. Pretty cool. Still though ... why can't they just say left eye and right eye? Why the whole OD/OS thing??? C'mon now!!! :)

From Rhett on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 14:34:29 from 170.215.58.122

Holy smokes, that is massive. I think the whole town of Havasu could workout in that place and not fill it up. Membership fees must be a fortune. Good thing your a rich attorney and can afford it.

Teena, it's latin and it is much easier to write in the chart OD, OS, or OU than right eye, left eye, or both eyes, just like you write TID instead of 3 times per day. The eye is amazing though. No way the human body happened by chance.

Okay then!! :)

Yeah ... we learned some pretty cool stuff. Very elementary I'm sure ... but it was still cool. I still remember in high school taking a cow's eye and looking through it seeing the world upside down. Cool stuff!

Are you serious?!!! 2.5 hrs on the elliptical?!!! Did you gu? Did you take a pop break? I gather that early in the morning, there's no one cheering you on, saying: "You're almost there!" or handing you wash clothes or yelling out: "Gatorade, Water!" You're turning into a machine!!! WAY TO GO!!! You should do some swimming to get rid of the soreness tomorrow. GOOD JOB!!!

From Teena on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 14:44:00 from 67.177.20.13

Speaking of swimming ... I bought the book you suggested Rhett. I thought that if I bought it and flipped through a couple of pages that I would kick some trash in the pool yesterday. Unfortunately I think I might actually have to read it and do the drills!! :)

From Teena on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 14:44:14 from 67.177.20.13

Smoothi,

Too bad we can't go cheer him on in the gym!

From Rhett on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 15:00:54 from 170.215.58.122

Probably to do really well you should do the drills, but I just read it and tried to understand the concepts and then apply them while swimming. I would work on one thing at a time and eventually my swimming improved immensly.

Smooth, I thought about grabbing some gu this morning, but I wasn't really running, so I just did it with water. I could have used a second towel though. My towel was soaked through by the end. Gross!

I could definitely use a cheering section, but instead I watched sports center 2 1/2 times. They just keep showing it over and over in the morning.

Man, you're one very focus dedicated athlete!!! Makes running a marathon piece of cake for ya.

From JohnnyV on Fri, Jun 26, 2009 at 10:37:21 from 204.124.13.151

Wow, I don't think I could stand an eliptical for 1 hour let alone 2 1/2. Great Workout. Hope you are starting to feel better.

2.5 hours?!?!?!? You are a total stud man!! I would be in the nut house right now if I was on any machine for that long. Great job!
