LUNCH

I had the Monday morning blues this morning so I turned off the alarm clock and rolled over and went back to sleep.  So I could still get my 2 workouts in today, I snuck out during lunch for a quick 30 mins on the elliptical at the gym.  Tonight I hope to get in some marathon pace miles.

EVENING

It was cold (in the 50s) and raning outside so I went to the gym.  Set the treadmill at 1% incline did a 1 mile warmup at 7.5 (8:00).  Then I set it at marathon pace, 8.8 (6:49) and ran 9 miles.  1:01:21.  It felt easy.  I'm thinking about trying to re-adjust my marathon pace to 9.0 (6:40).  That would get me to the end in 2:55 instead of 2:59.

LOL Monday morning blues. I like it. I think I am feeling the same thing. That wind is just cold out there. Oh wait you are still in the what 60s??

How nice that you could sleep in and still get two workouts done. You're no slacker, are you? :)

Do you get weird look when you go that fast at the gym. I know I would look at you weird... really I would be jealous and secretly dream of tripping you to help me get through my miles at 7.0!

At that pace I get a few quick glances, but when I do mile repeats on the gym treadmill (I usually do them outside) I get really strange looks when I get up around 10.5.

From Smooth on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 15:13:20

10.5??!! I didn't know treadmill can go that high. Holy cow, I'd fall off the treadmill at YOUR warmup of 7.5. LOL

Rhett...

I don't even think my legs could keep up for even a second going 10.5. Wow!!!
