Do your kids think you look silly running in the pool?

Nice tempo run. I imagine you work pretty hard to get your HR up. Do you use a rope like Teena, or do you get enough momentum to make laps?

I see you're nursing that foot, good boy. My wife actually had the surgury for the PF problem a few years ago. The doc said when he cut the fascia it was like cutting a rubber band. I should have made her run a marathon before the surgury and saved some money.

Burt- my kids like that I am out there cause they jump in and get to swim.
Smooth- It is hard to get your HR very high water running. I hit about 150 today and I was working. Yes I tether myself to the ladder with a rope. It creates more resistance and helps me work harder.
Kathie- It does feel somewhat better, but the boot helps a lot.
Jeff- Cool, someone who has had the surgery. How long was she in the boot? Or did she have to wear it? Does she feel like it affected her foot function at all?

I've noticed that it is hard to get my heart rate up as well in the pool. I just push it until the acid reflux kicks in! :)
My heart rate definitely gets up with the swimming though. Possibly because I am scared to death of drowning and I am such a horrible swimmer!! :)
