Mile repeats today.  I decided to cut my recovery in half and was a bit nervous about the workout.

2 mile warm up @ 8:00

6 x 1 mile with .25 mile recovery at 12:00 (total 3 min recovery jog)

First 5 miles @ 6:15 and last mile @ 6:05

.75 mile cool down @ 8:00

Everything done at 1% incline.

I was suprised that I was able to do the full workout with the shorter recovery time and still feel strong enough to go faster on the last mile.  I guess it is time to start running faster.

Wow when I look at your workout I am always amazed. I ran for .1 mile today at 9.0 and pretended I was you.

Kathie, that is funny. My wife was watching Biggest Looser and said they have them run on the TM at 9.0 for as long as possible for their last workout before weigh in. She tried it yesterday and made it 0.1 miles and said she almost died.

I sprint at your warm up pace, pretty sad!!!

Nice job, glad to see the workouts are going well! Are you still taping? Are you in pain or is the foot doing well?

WOW!!! Very COOL!!! I'm NOT surprised that your mile repeats improved from last week...YOU'RE CAP'N UNDERPANTS afterall!!! :)

Yah, your warm up/cool down pace is my puke pace!

From Rhett on Thu, Nov 12, 2009 at 10:45:27 from 74.42.168.210

Kelli, yes I still tape. I don't know if I need to, but it has become a security blanket for me. Last week on my 15 mile long run I forgot to tape and was noticing a little more tightness than normal but no pain and finally about mile 9 i realized I had forgotten to tape. My only real pain is very mild and is usually at the end of the day not during my runs.

Smooth, ever since dawning the Captain Underpants cape, my running has gone real well. Maybe I'll have to sport a cape in all my races. I think I'll pass on the shirtless look with underwear over my shorts though.
