What days are you running next week and how many miles for each run?

From rhett on Sat, Jan 10, 2009 at 10:47:39

CQ, thanks for remembering to call me PK. LOL

Dale, I don't usually decide exactly what I'm going to do each week until Sunday. I'll try and keep my intesity up but maybe go a little shorter than usual. It'll be something like:

Mon 6 mile tempo run at 1/2 mary pace

Tues 4 Easy with some strides

Wed 2 1/2 min repeats x 1 hr. but at 10k pace instead of the normal 5K pace

Thurs night EZ mile followed by 3 min all out lung crushing, lactic acid inducing run.

Fri Carb loading with Pop Tarts, etc. No exercising

From DonGardinero on Sat, Jan 10, 2009 at 13:39:45

Sounds like a great plan. I especially like Thursday's workout. Was that three minutes or three miles of all out lung crushing, lactic acid inducing running?

From Kathie on Sat, Jan 10, 2009 at 18:24:50

OK what is up with telling me not to lift any more and then you go and do a full body workout? I know you are afraid I might beat you right?

From Rhett on Sat, Jan 10, 2009 at 22:08:08

Dale, just 3 minutes. And when I say all out I mean everything I've got. The last minute of those 3 are painful.

Kathy, you did weights on Thurs. I lift on Tues and Fri. I won't lift anymore now. I figured you wouldn't be lifting 2 days in a row. Also, you have this a a goal race, and for me I will do my very best, but my goal race is Boston. If this were my goal race, I would have stopped lifting 2 weeks out.
