Short-Term Running Goals:
Diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease so just trying to stay in shape and minimize further damage to thyroid and heart.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Maybe complete a 5K again someday.
Started runnning more regularly in 2005 after years of mostly strength training. I have cut back on endurance training since developing thyroid and heart related issues over the years. Reintroduced regular strength training and walking sessions for a more balanced approach to health.
I decided to mix things up a bit since I haven't ran the past two days due to long work days. Started with a progression run to a brisk pace for 7 mi then went to MP for 2 mi and finished off at a brisk pace for 3 mi (7:37 avg overall). I might try to run another 5 mi tonight.
