Marathon PR - 3:05 (3:06 at Boston)

Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Consistent aerobic and strength training.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Participate in 5k and 10k races.

Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

Easy 2 mi, PMP + 10 sec. 12 mi (7:01 avg, 131 HR avg), and Easy 4 mi (7:14 avg overall).  Ate food before and during.  Temp was in upper 50s and humid.  Heart rate was well under control, but injury was nagging again.  Of course I probably pushed it too far.  I'll have to see how it feels on Monday.  Feels like my aerobic capacity is there, but legs are not keeping up and breaking down.

Hi there! Yes, the injury has set me back a bit, but at least I can continue to run. SLOW and FLAT!! I still read your blog as well. You are going to do great at your next race. I'll be updating my blog shortly. Work has been really crazy.
