Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness and life.

AM: Another easy 7 mi.  The usual Tuesday tired legs this morning.  The strange thing is I get stronger as the week progesses.  Probably 80% mental.  Finished reading the book Once a Runner and now started reading the book The Perfect Mile.  Very good book so far. PM: Easy 3.5 mi + TP 2 mi + Easy 4 mi with the last 2.5 mi completed barefoot in KSOs. Felt strong and in control, unlike this morning.

I also had the tired legs today. I hope that I get stronger during the week like you. I read The Perfect Mile. It is a good book. I need to get Once a Runner I have heard that it is really good.

I just read "Once a Runner" (bought it since it came back out in print) and liked it quite a bit for an easy read. He seemed to really hit the mindset of why we run (especially from the competitive perspective). What did you think? Now I need to read "Again to Carthage".
