Marathon PR - 3:05 (3:06 at Boston)

Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Consistent aerobic and strength training.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Participate in 5k and 10k races.

Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

AM: Slow run with 3 x tempo pickups near the end + Light strength training. 0:51:20 6.0 mi - 8:33 avg

PM: Easy run around the lake.  Windy again, but I was in better spirits this time around and took it in stride.  I hope Boston isn't this windy or my PR is toast.  Added 5 x tempo fartleks near the end.  0:58:15 7.10 mi - 8:12 avg

Glad to see you are in better spirits! Hopefully the weather will turn good for all of us heading into the home stretch, that always seems to help.

Let's knock on wood for this to be a good weather year for Boston (it was perfect when I ran in 2006).
