Good run. Went 8 miles with my son Nathan who is still running on the Cross Country team at Davis. That was his longest run ever and he did very well. 1 mile of this was at marathon pace. I wanted to get some downhill running today so my wife dropped us off in the foothills 8 miles from home and we ran home.
Then I ran one mile at 6:48 around my house while I waited for my son Zac to finish his breakfast. Zac drove me back up to another spot in the foothills and I ran another 8 miles to home. I had 3 fast miles and then slowed down for the rest. I bonked hard at 15 miles, but was able to run the 1st half of the final mile at MP. I think it was a combo of fatigue left over from LOTOJA and the fact that I hadn't eaten anything and drank just a little all morning. Still a good run and one that I think I needed to be ready for St. George. |
