Beautiful day out!  It's forecasted to snow for the next 3 day, so cut out time for a long run this morning (high 30's, low 40's w/sun).  Did 2-mile "warm-up", then started a 7-mile tempo through the hills towards Morris (6:59,7:06,6:56,7:14,7:06,7:18,7:26), jogged 2 miles through the woods and then completed 3 more tempo miles (7:10,7:15,7:20- mostly uphill), was pretty tired at this point to jogged another 6.25 to make it 20.25 miles total for the morning.

Nice LONG workout! What did you do for fuel?

thanks! I planted a 32-ounce gatorade just past mile 10.

Great pace for such a long run. Did you down the whole gatorade at 10 or take it with you? Did you ever get that garmin?

Wow, awesome run! You are back!

From rockness18 on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 16:43:41 from 75.13.66.91

Chugged 90% of the gatorade at mile 10 and yes, got the 305 garmin ($139 at Best Buy- Christmas gift). Total ascent in the run- close to 3500ft, total descent- close to 3200ft. Highest ascent within a mile 500 ft...lots of info, kind of fun to learn.

Thanks, I'm close to back- was running 9-10min/miles towards the end. Just happy to be pain free!

Great long run and good pace on those tempo miles especially considering the hills.
