provo river trail, up to where tkey have it closed. kind of icey in spots.

My left foot and shin are giving me a little trouble, so I think it is time to cut back, do a lot of PT  stretching/strengthening stuff and cross training, and try to recover for the spring. This is a good chance to try to strengthen my hip, calf, and foot I guess. I still think that the five fingers and minimal shoes are still the best way to strengthen the foot and shin, so will run mostly in those while doing some cross training. The winter inversion is sapping my motivational level for running outdoors anyway. Maybe I will do some water running Monday.

Enjoy your "winter break" (from running that is) recharge and come back strong! Good luck getting caught up over the winter break from school. I am really looking forward to focusing on my grants and papers for a change!

thanks Bonnie! I have to focus on writing grants and papers this semester as well, I am backlogged pretty well right now and in panic mode. Unfortunately I will have a stack of NIH grants coming for study section in about a week. sigh... I cannot wait for my term there to end.

Have a great break!!

So far I have managed to stay as "ad hoc" and therefore can say no ... which I have twice this semester. Good luck ... I like the new scoring system, and will really like the new page limits (for reviewing, not submitting).
