| I ran out towards Payson this morning, I felt okay but on the way back I started to have stomach issues and it was pretty painful. I just made it back to he house, I then dropped Ethan off at Cross country and then I came home and did 2.10 miles in 20 minutes on the elliptical and then I finished up with my upper body weight training and some push-ups. Payson Canyon tomorrow with the group and I think I will do the 11 mile route again, that is if my legs will cooperate. See ya tomorrow. |

| Well I ran Payson canyon this morning and I was feeling pretty good until the 8th mile and my calf knotted back up again. Dang!!! I had planned on the 11 miles like last week but I stopped at beer can and caught a ride back down to the school. I had a pretty good run before that with 5 miles in the 7:30 range, my average pace for the run was 7:49 with my total time at 1:01:08. I can't afford to lose anymore training time with SG just around the corner, but it feels pretty tight again so who knows whats going to happen. I didn't feel like I was pushing it on the way down and I felt like I was holding back some so I really don't understand it. Maybe I should have waited another week to do the canyon again, give more time for recovery. I felt great after last weeks run down so I figured I was good go, oh well I guess I will just have to deal with consequences. See ya tomorrow. |

| I hopped on the elliptical for 25 minutes to warm up the calf and then I stretched and decided to go out and give it a try but it really tightened up on me before I even got a mile in, so I decided to stop and call it good. I had Joel, my brother-in-law the PT, come over and he worked it over pretty darn good, brought me to tears! We talked about why this is happening and I think we were both frustrated with no answers! He wants me to stay on the elliptical for now until I can run again, so I'm not sure whats going to happen with SG, its crunch time and I can't miss any long runs at this point. So I don't know what to think, maybe if I get it better then I'll have to push my taper back and not taper as long or something like that. I don't know! Later. | Add Comment |

I jumped on the elliptical after work. I should have done it this morning but I was feeling sorry for myself and kind of bagged it. But after thinking about things I decided I needed to keep on it just in case this darn calf gets better in a few days or even a week. So, I ran 6.20 miles in 60 minutes on the elliptical and then did some mild leg strengthening to finish up. I'm glad I pulled my head out and got something done, I feel much better now! See ya tomorrow.

6.25 miles on the elliptical, a very good effort and I'm glad that I got it done, small victories mean the most! My calf felt pretty good and I'm hoping I can run some on Monday, at least thats the plan so I guess I'll see ya then. Later.
