I have decided that this week I will take it easy and do no tempo runs, I have some soreness in my legs in the upper inner thigh of both legs, so I thought it might be good to take it easy this week and see if I can get them feeling better... It was a lot warmer this morning, it was down right comfortable to be honest with ya, I wish it was this warm all winter it would be so much better. I ran the Salem Canal Road to Payson loop, out and back and my splits went as follows; 8:41(133), 8:42(139), 8:34(146) this one had the standard 300 meter hill. 8:25(141), 8:43(142), 9:07(139), the pace felt easy except for on mile 3 with the little hill in it, which raised my heart rate up a hair, total time was 52:34 with an average pace of 8:42 my heart rate average was 139...

Kind of boring but tis the season for base miles, see ya tomorrow. I also did my upper body workout for 25 minutes 2 sets each.

I hate those "soreness" aches! Never sure if you are on the verge of a more serious injury. Good idea to take it easy this week, hopefully you will feel better soon.

Jeff,

My legs feel alot better today than the have previously, so I think the slower pace helps... Thanks for checking in, I hope you and your family have a merry Christmas.

Interestingly enough, I have that same soreness all the time, except only on the right side. Probably for a different reason though.

From Clay on Mon, Dec 17, 2007 at 16:14:25

Sasha, that is wierd because mine started on the right side too, infact it is more so on the right side than on the left, must be sympathy pains...

Is this something new, or have you had it before?

From Clay on Mon, Dec 17, 2007 at 16:29:24

No, I've had it before, but only when I start doing hill work and I haven't done any hill work, so I don't know...
