Tuesday Ten with the Newtons. I tried talking myself into sleeping this morning, but I got out of bed and I'm glad I did! It was a good run and Ronnie and Dave were able to join Chad, George and me on the run, which hasn't happened in a while. Ronnie and George got to listen to my IM story from Saturday the first few miles, then at mile 4 Dave and Chad ran with us for a while and George pushed on ahead. The last couple miles home Chad and Ronnie turned it on and Dave and I just enjoyed the run back chatting away.
I could tell my legs were still fatigued, but after I saw my AP I was pleasantly surprised at that as well as my splits. Since I'm pacing Pocatello full this Saturday I am now on a taper until then. Just a 4:00 full. I hoping it doesn't take me too long to recover. I feel like I'm just starting to get some speed back! I need legs for SGM, it is my goal race this year.
AP: 8:31 splits: 8:45, 8:32, 9:28, 9:54 (yeah, those hills killed me this morning!), 8:29, 8:36, 8:01, 7:49, 7:46, 8:01, 7:44 (last .1) Love those last few miles of downhill cruising!
