What a GREAT day for a run! Except we had to wake up at 4:30AM!!! We

met up with a super fast runner, Michelle and carpooled up to the

canyon. At 5:30am we were off down the canyon trail and it was so nice

running even though it was dark. Good thing we had a big group or it

might have been a little scary. I ended doing around 12 miles in one

hour 33 minutes, Merri did 18 miles and the rest of the group did 20

miles. I finished long before everyone else so I sat around for like an

hour before everyone else finished. That wasn't so bad except the

canyon wind was blowing and I was FREEZING! Once they got back one of

the guys had a blanket in his car that I could borrow so that we could

all go sit in the freezing cold river to ice our legs. It was really,

really, painfully cold. I almost got out and then I started to go numb

so I survived. I feel good today so it must have worked! I was totally

wasted after the run so I am glad I didn't go anymore. I was supposed

to do one hour and 45 minutes. All in all it was a good run and I can't

wait to go again.

Last Saturday I jogged/hiked/walked to the top of Mount Timpanogos!!! It took me 2 hrs and 20 minutes to get up and 1 hour and 45 minutes to get down. I went with a group of Sojourners. And boy was I sore yesterday and I am still feeling it today!

Today I ran 10.3 miles with Michelle with an avg pace of 8.17 minute mile.  We did some strides and I felt ok on the first few, by the 6th one I wasn't keeping up that well and the 8th one I didn't have much left.  It was a good run though!

Today my neighbors and I ran a 6 mile loop by our houses.  I was only wanting to do 5, but had to do an extra mile to make it home.  8.06 was my average mile pace.

My Garmin only had 12.92 miles on it when I finished, so here's the breakdown from my watch. My time of 1:28:50.3 gave me a  6:47 pace per mile.

It was too dark and cold again this morning to go running outside alone so I went to the gym again. I ran 5 miles in 42 minutes today. Tomorrow is my last chance to run 20 miles before my marathon. Josse said she would run it with me and help me finish...I think I can I think I can...
