Ran the Miami Corporate Run:  24.17

My next 5k was during Independance weekend: 21:42

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to qualify for Boston.  I need to run a marathon under 3:10

To finish a 5K in under 20 mins

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run Boston, New York, London and just stay running

Personal:

I have a wonderful wife and my pride and joy of a year.  I know that running marathons are hard, but you should see the hard work that my wife does to keeps our baby healthy.

Today was my easy run day.  Ran at an average of 8:30 pace including my warm up and cool down miles.  However, I ran the 3rd mile at 7:16 pace just to test myself.

Ran 6 x 800's.  I tried to keep my pace at 6:00.

Ran the West Palm Beach relay.  I was the first leg of the relay (8.7 miles).  I ran my miles at an average pace of 7:30.

Ran my first half marathon.  The race was in Weston, FL, and my time was 1:44:24.

This was a tempo workout.  I ran this including the warm up and cool down mile at a pace of 7:59.  I most of my miles were around 7:35, but I had 2 miles that I ran around 8:30.  Also I ran my 7th mile at around 7:10 pace.

8x800's.  Ran by the Doral area.  Did not like the route too much since we had to cross too many intersections.

I ran really easy and relaxed on this long run.  I just wanted to complete the 20 miles.

I didn't feel like running tonight, but I knew that I had to since my race is very close (January 24). It was raining and kind of cold, so that made it worse.  What I ended up doing was going to the gym and using their treadmill.  Ran 4 miles in total.  First mile as a warm up mile (around 9:45 pace) then the next two one 45 seconds faster than my marathon pace (I tried to keep my pace at 7:15), and finally my cool down mile.
