You need to do an ultra. If you can run a 20 mile long run and then handle 8 the next day you can handle an ultra.

DL is spot on. Go hit a 50K just to say you have. You'd do really well.
I'm impressed that you could run 8 miles at 9:00 pace on a TM. I go crazy on the TM and have to keep upping my paces just to get the workout over. Hope you had some nice TV to watch.

There are no TV's on the gym's TM's. They are faced toward a window though. :-)
