Yeah, about that race - hard to say - I was ecstatic to have run what I did at my recent 5k even though I was 20 seconds off my PR. I do believe you recently ran a marathon and a relay, and maybe I missed it but I didn't see you doing a lot of 400s, 800s and mile repeats. So in a way you should be happy to have met your time that you ran last year. Focus on 5k training and that time is going to drop quickly.

I decided to take a break for a few days. I thought it might be good to take one since I've been running pretty hard for months now. Also, I've had a little ongoing foot issue. It's not been enough to keep me from running but I was hoping a little rest might let it heal up.

Hey, I just signed up for the Chosen Half, over in your neck of the woods...if you decide to run it, let me know - some friends of ours have a "team" as they are trying to adopt, and you can select it as you sign up, if you're not running for one already. I think it just means your entry fee helps cover adoption expenses...
