Evening Run:

Went out for another 2 miles at 10:30 pm...Forgot to bring my watch to work to download the chart. 5 total....whooo..Hooo getting up there. Funny thing is my knee didn't hurt at all on this run. Maybe the bone spur is floating around and when it gets in the wrong position...that's when it hurts?

Morning Run:

Ran again this morning. 3 miles with a rest in between each. Ran 1 by myself and then two more with Callie. She was really sore from the Triathlon yesterday. I felt about the same with the knee and the foot. I'll keep trying this week to see how things go.

It amazes me that you can run those paces at that heart rate. You have tons of speed waiting to get out.

Hey Flat,

I really cheated on these miles since I rested a couple of minutes between each.

What is your maximum heart rate? Those percentages seem awfully low.

Nice job on the roping last weekend and sweet payday.

My measured max heart rate is 183 although I have tried really hard to get it higher several times. I can only seem to get it to 178 now. The 183 was measured about 6 months ago. My measured low rate is 34. Maybe I'm figuring something wrong...?

From Dave S on Mon, May 09, 2011 at 22:35:19 from 4.254.218.121

140 bpm would be 76% of 183 bpm max. I figure my max is about 185 because that's about the highest I've seen it when I was confident I wasn't getting a false reading. Like you though I also don't often see it get above 178 or 179.

Hey Dave, You're right my % calculation was way off. My self-created excel calculation was wacked. I'm trying to fix it so my charts will be accurate. Looks like the lower the HR the further off it was. I started adding that % a few weeks ago but I guess I was never really using it for anything. Anyway I'll just leave the mistake on the old records and try and correct it in the future. Thanks for pointing that out.
