| | We had 4 mile repeats today, but we had to do them on the road because soccer stuff was all over the track... We did them on the Arizona strip, so it was mostly flat, just a slight incline one way, and a decline the other. The ones with the decline were fine, but the uphill ones where so rough! Oh well, just keep moving forward, it probably builds character and stuff like that.

| | AM-A nice easy run out to the bridge, and back
PM-6 mile run along the ridge. I love this run, and Rex came back from Idaho, so that was fun! Scott got sucked into a whirlpool again, poor guy, I think he's drowning. Haha

| | AM-Ran out to the specturm and back, typical Wednesday
PM-Honestly, I had a bit of a rough practice today. I had negative thoughts when I found out we were doing the workout on the track instead of on the road, and that just set me up all wrong. I hit 10:44 for the two mile tempo run, which was about 14 seconds off my pace, but I actually think I was "competent" considering the wind. It's ok though, because I learned from this, and I got feeling better when I came home and listened to some Billy Joel and watched part of Cool Runnings! Haha

PM-Thought we were running out at the Thatchers, we weren't. Still managed to catch up to everyone and have a nice easy run (after I caught up, that is).

Dog Town Half-Marathon (13.1 Miles) 01:21:01, Place overall: 14, Place in age division: 10 | | What a fun race! We were just supposed to do a progression run, so me, Rex, and Josh Mcphie went out pretty slow, at about 6:30ish pace, and dropped it down to about 6:15 for the first 5 miles. We consistently dropped our pace after that, and we finished going a little under 5 minute pace. It was super duper fun. Our whole team stuck together pretty well until about mile 10. It was just a fun smooth race, and we got to meet some cool people. I loved it. Haha, afterwards I went to Wingers with Jake Buenning, Trevor, and Bridger, and I ate 8 sticky fingers and a basket of fries. Wow, I can check that off my bucket list, it was so delicious and fulfilling!
